My Story

Hello, my name is Phil Jackson. I’m a business coach and mentor, and a veteran of the corporate world.

Internet marketing is a new and exciting field. It’s full of limitless opportunity that anyone can tap into, as long as you’ve got grit, guts, determination — and the right training.  To this end, I teach the “business owner mindset” and how the nature of personal development determines professional success.

Reclaiming a vision.

After I got my MBA, I immersed myself in the corporate world. I was VP of marketing for a Midwest-based research firm but became quickly dissatisfied with the conventional employer-employee model.

I was determined to regain control of my finances and my future. I wanted to own my own business. I wanted to act in accordance with my own vision, and I wanted to help others do the same.

So I left the corporate world in favor of actualizing my vision on my own terms.

In high school, I was involved with a network marketing company that left an indelible impression on me. I admired the business model and felt it had tremendous value, but I was uncomfortable with the direct-sales approach. I explored a few other network marketing opportunities before I discovered online marketing. It captured my attention like nothing else.

More than anything I tried in the past, Internet marketing matched my goals and expectations, my desired lifestyle, and my commitment to give back to others.

Internet marketing is predicated on the concept of automation. Once your Internet sales funnel is up and running, you’re able to generate leads automatically. The old school MLM model never sat well with me, and I relished the opportunity to build a business that attracted an ever-growing stream of consumers who had already been “converted” by the inherent value of the offered product or service. Add to this the multiple streams of income, and you have one of the most potentially lucrative business models ever created.

Bill Gates said, “The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.”

Most Internet marketers have the mistaken belief that they can just jump into the industry without any professional training, plug into a system, and watch the money roll in. If you come across an opportunity that makes those sort of claims, steer clear of it — it’s a scam. To be a successful Internet marketer, you need to master three things: technology, business infrastructure, and marketing. I’ve developed an array of proven, user-friendly tools that will enable you to achieve “efficient operation” for your business.

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make when they start an Internet marketing business is that they fail to recognize that it is, unequivocally, a business. While it’s true that anyone can generate profit from Internet marketing, in order to be successful in the long term, you’ve got to cultivate the business owner mindset, as opposed to the employee mindset. In my own case, I thought I could jumpstart my new career the moment I left the corporate world. I had an MBA and plenty of corporate experience — if anyone knew how to run a business, it was me.

Wrong. Though I knew all about the business owner mindset in theory, putting it into practice was something else. I certainly had the skills, and most importantly, the will, but I still found myself needing some guidance.

The number one rule to follow if you want to achieve Internet marketing success is this: home-based or not, you have to approach your business as a business. But what happens when you don’t have any formal business experience? You need to seek a top industry mentor to provide you with the professional training and support you need.

The learning curve is steep, but with proven training and support, you can short-cut your way to the top.

Every newbie Internet marketer faces two major learning curves: learning the fundamentals of the business world, and learning the business of Internet marketing itself. It could take six months to a year of research, study, and trial and error for the novice to gain any ground. However, with the right mentoring, training, and drive, the learning curves can be mastered at a faster rate. What’s important to realize is that for every legitimate opportunity or turnkey model you find, there are 10 others just waiting to pocket your cash. It takes research and patience to sort through them all. A mentor can help you to determine which opportunity is right for you, freeing you to explore the more substantive aspects of your business.

When you’re coming from the conventional workplace, even if you have an idea of what it’s like to be a business owner, you probably don’t know how to think like one. The business owner mindset is also called the “entrepreneurial mindset.” When you’re a business owner, the most important thing you’ve got to do to be successful is to learn how to effectively manage your time. Time is your most precious resource. As an employee, you give your time up to someone else to manage, and that person writes you a paycheck in return. Not so if you’re an entrepreneur. If you approach your business with an employee mindset, you won’t know how to maximize your time to get things done — sometimes you have to be less busy to achieve more. The great thing is, though, anyone can unlock the power of the entrepreneurial mindset — you just need some guidance and a well-meaning push.

My passion is helping others to realize their fullest professional, both in work and in life. I’ve learned that the best way to accomplish this is by teaching others how to be FOR something instead of AGAINST something. Positive thinking and the prosperity mindset are key to entrepreneurial success. I want to help others to become self-sufficient, to determine their own present and future. How many times have you heard the cliché, life is short? I think it has less to do with a finite lifespan, and more to do with the abbreviated energy and attention we give to the individual moments that compose our life. Life is living inside us today — not the future — and when you act from that knowledge, you are empowered. Remember, positive energy attracts positive results.

My mission: inspire, educate, empower.

I’ve repurposed my corporate training and experience to better serve myself and others. According to Thomas Edison, it takes “forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose as well as perspiration” to succeed in business. Exactly.

I’ve undergone the same rigorous training program that I’m offering you.

Success also requires passion, high energy, a true willingness to learn, and the ability to get things done. Making money is not about being busy — it’s about time smarts and dedication. If you can systematize your approach to business, you can systematize your success.
